MUSE 4th ANNIVERSARY COVER CELEBRATION AND PARADE...PLEASE VOTE

We Here  At Muse Publishing

Need Your Help.

On October 1st we will be celebrating our

FOURTH anniversary...and we have grown in many ways...

But none more than the constantly evolving excellence of our book covers.

Today we have  a STELLAR department of gifted artists and all of them KNOW what kind of power they and the author need to pour into that critical first view the world gets of our product...the covers.

Following is a list of the best covers to come out of that combined team...author and artist...over the past year...but...

we need your help.

Please look through the following images...choose the number of the cover that rocks you the most profoundly and then leave a comment including the number of THAT cover so I can later add up all the choices for the ultimate tally.

I cannot explain, yet, what IS going to happen, but Kat and I have a surprise in store that will be announced on December 15th...in time for the Christmas Celebration.

The following are covers that appeared in the past year ONLY, qualifying for this posting.

Thanks for stopping by...enjoy...and please vote.

(1) GHOST TOWN

(2) SHIFTING ALLIANCES
Photo: I'd like to present the cover for my e-book, Shifting Alliances, which is a sci-fi novella that will be released by MuseItUp Publishing this fall. The cover was done by the talented Kaytalin Platt. It's much different than the cover for the print version, but I wanted it this way. Covers can be very revealing, but I wanted the opposite with this one. There are parts of the story I want to keep a mystery, so I think the cover succeeds on this level.

(3) CHRISTMAS GOES GREEN

(4) SCATTER

(5) DREAM WALKER

(6) LOVE POTION # 9.5

(7) SIDE TRIP

(8) MORNING AFTER MIDNIGHT

(9) DARK SANCTUARY

(10) LIFE'S JOURNEY

(11) SKYWHALE

(12) CRIMSON WATERS

  1. I admit choosing ONE is tough...I LOVE my covers for Life's Journey and Christmas Goes Green...I'm also crazy about Kat's covers for Crimson Waters, Love Potion # 9.5, and Seeker. But I have to choose JUST one...and the one that knocked my socks off the most AND keeps knocking my socks off...Well then I have to choose Mel Favreaux's cover

    SHIFTING ALLIANCES. It's haunting.

DARK SANCTUARY sends chills up and down my spine.

    PRANKSGIVING made me laugh.

THE LAND BEYOND ALL DREAMS makes me want to step back in time and spend a week inside the Pyramids.

GOLDEN DAWN...had me seriously thinking about angels and goddesses.

STARLIGHT had me thinking about the house I grew up in.

TWILIGHT FLAMES: SOUL NATURE had me thinking about my one unfulfilled fantasy...to make love beneath a waterfall.

BROKEN FAMILY...it hit all my trigger points...it's blue and draws you in to a figure that seems to be wrestling with the weight of the world.

ODIN CATS...OMG..I love cats, ODIN is a Norse God, and we all know cats are regal...and these cats have a mischievous look on their faces that makes me smile.

    THE SKYWHALE is just delightful.

SIDE TRIP...teases the wannabe explorer in me.

SCATTER...If DREAMWALKER hadn't come along, this would probably have been my choice. It's UNUSUAL.

MORNING AFTER MIDNIGHT...the breathtaking horizon with the beam of light pouring down calls me like metal shavings to a magnet.

    GHOST TOWN...Stark and powerful!

    But...

DREAM WALKER. I see that in my head even when I'm not looking at Covers.

    It is breathtakingly powerful.

It's a shame I can't choose all 20...because these twenty were placed in this parade because they have power...the kind of power to grab, hold, and haunt you.

Still I can ONLY choose one...so it HAS to be:

    DREAMWALKER.

  2. I liked Scatter, Dreamwalker and Morning after Midnight, but my vote is for Love Potion 9.5.

  3. It is so hard to choose. I am torn between Scatter and Dreamwalker. Having said that, I think the quality of these covers shows the pride Museitup takes in their books.
Congratulations to each of the cover artists.
If I have to choose one, I guess Dreamwalker tells more about the story. Scatter is visually stunning, but tells less of the genre/story. In my humble opinion. :)

  4. I think all the covers are interesting—some telling a story more than the others. However, my vote goes to Number 1, Ghost Town. I am particularly drawn by color, and the blue of this cover is very appealing. I love the kind of architecture of the main house—the kind that begs to be haunted. If I were the ghost at the fence, this would be the house where I would choose to dwell. Pictured in the white glare of what can only be a full moon, an ethereal air is cast over the whole town, adding to the ghostly atmosphere and emphasizing the title.

  5. I think 16...Starlight...is pretty neat. V.L.Murray

  6. Of course I love my covers, but my vote would have to go to Side Trip. I really like that cover.

  7. #1 Ghost Town
    #2 Shifting Alliances

  8. # 13 Odin Cats by Sandra Cox gets my vote.

  9. There are some pretty cool covers here, but #16 Starlight is AWESOME. It blew me away the first time I saw it and it still gives me goosebumps.

  10. Like Kat, I love my own cover (Land Beyond All Dreams), but it feels improper to vote for it. I vote for Odin Cats - I bought the book as son as I saw the cover.

  11. I love my covers too...especially LIFE'S JOURNEY. Suzi and I worked hard to create covers that spoke in a way that gave my book beauty...but like Kat and Bryan it doesn't seem right to choose my own. I love Kat's CRIMSON WATERS...if you'd seen what the other CA wanted to stick her with, you'd know SUZI gave her brilliance...but just like it seems wrong to choose my own, it also seems wrong to choose my daughters. Sorry Suzi, but you know how brilliant Kat and I think you are. To those of you who don't know Suzi did my Facebook Banner...and I absolutely love it. But for me it's a toss up between Dreamwalker....I LOVE blue, and SHIFTING ALLIANCES because it's ethereal.

  12. They're all beautiful, but one would make me pick up the book and consider buying it... Christmas is Green.
